Because of changes to the hardware, the SL will take a small break on Friday evening - Sure, it is not the ideal time, but you have at least the opportunity to have a dinner with your girlfriend again (or friend, there are also female gamers out there). And no no - you don`t have to thank us - we have no problems to save your relationship zwinker2.gif

Many of you have followed our reporting on the E3 and the upcoming sequel of probably the best team shooter ever. We also reported about the Activision press conference with Todd Hollenshead and particularly this conference caused quite a stir and initiated a discussion about the upcoming Wolfenstein multiplayer in our board. Classic or innovative? With or without alien weapons? Iron sight or shooting from the hip? Fast action on small maps or a very tactical, slow approach. Very often the opinions are definite; in some cases they couldn’t be more different. All this was reason enough for us to rack our brains.

As on of the largest German-speaking community Web page, our voice has a corresponding chance to be heard. Without hesitation we created a survey, which includes the most important wishes as regards the multiplayer part of Wolfenstein. The survey will run until the end of August, afterwards it will be analysed and transferred to id Software, Activision, Raven and Endrant. As we’ve already seen with Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, the community can offer the developers suggestions, which can be realized effectively and influence the game positively.

Your opinion matters and is of crucial importance, so take part and let us, and especially the developers know, which points you would emphasize.

ET Clan Spiders From Mars is proud to present b3 version of trickjumpmap "Ocean_Jumps" created by its clanmember SFM -][-Pray-N-Spray-][-.
It is a small pretty nice trickjumpmap taking the action right into the ocean.
Improvements since beta 2 release are some more "harder" jumps inkluding a secret room and some bugfixes.

Any feedback regarding the map, especially if you find some smaller bugs that we would like to fix until a final release are very welcome.

Mods / ETPro

Version 2.1 of ACPro is out.

ACPro is a lua module for ETPro servers directed against cheaters and lamers. The new version has a fix for ETAdmin mod, where attackers could gain the level of other players by joining with a prepared nick. ACPro also includes fixes resp. enhancements by reyalp. Screenshots are available here. You can download ACPro at luk4ward.boo.pl.

Its a trickjump map that takes the action into a very nice ocean scenario.

Die Map wurde für das Duell (1vs1) entworfen, kann aber auch verwendet werden, um mit bis zu 12 Leuten (6vs6) herumzuballern.

AXIS Defend with Multiple MG-Nests; Build AXIS Command Post.
ALLIES Assault: Destroy West Bunker Door, East Seawall, Seawall Stairway Door

Objective for allies is to take back the secret wodanfire documents.
The dox are laid on the table in the axis chambers below ground.
Allies are to blow up the stairwell door to gain entrance down below or secretly
send a uniformed covert through the axis spawn doorway to get
down below to take the dox. Allies should bring the dox to the east side radio
transmitter on the beach.

ET: Quake Wars
Quake Wars is ready to release!

The thing what many people has been waiting: Enemy Territory - Quake Wars is now release-ready! With this information we can expect a demo in few weeks, couple weeks before the official release. Game will be released (as you know) September 28th in Europe & Australia and October 2nd in North America.

Quote from the official announcement:
We could never have dreamed that before we had even released the game, we would have had over 100,000 posts on the game's forums, over 80,000 registrants for the Betas, or that we would meet thousands of you in person in London, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, and Germany on the many ETQW tours and events we've attended.


Of course this is just the beginning of the next phase – that of the ongoing support for Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars. Our first goal after completing the game's demo (planned for release in mid-September - we're working on that right now) will be to watch closely and address any issues that come up in the first few weeks after the game's release.

Bramburg Dam (et_dam) Beta 1

I don't know if anyone still knows the map 'mp_dam' for RTCW, it was released by SD for the game some years ago and is based on the corresponding singleplayer level 'dam' of RTCW. I personally think it's not really suitable for multiplayer gaming but I always liked the scenery and therefore made a little conversion. Don't expect too much from it, it's pretty much like the good old mp_dam; I left the gameplay widely untouched.
There's an entry in .sl-database of maps called 'et_dam', but it does not provide any info or links and I've neither ever heard nor seen any conversion for ET. If there actually is ... never mind, its a fun project anyway I did in my spare time. :)
Probably best played with a maximum of 6-8 players per team. Shouldn't be working well on monster servers with 30+ players for gameplay does not really extend to the other side of the dam, as those old-school players of you will recall from mp_dam. But well, give it a try.

Short description:

Allied forces are attempting to destroy an axis dam to flood the military installation below.

Allied objectives:

- Breach the lower service halls
- Secure the generator control room
- Destroy the Main Road Doors
- Breach the lower dam tunnels
- Breach the upper dam stairwell door
- Destroy the main water regulator (main obj. , referred to as "Main Generator" by vo's in-game)

Axis objectives:

Pretty much a no-brainer, you can certainly guess them by the above ones. :)

The control room flag moves the spawns - if allies take it, they spawn there and move axis spawn to the dam quarters and vice versa. Oh yes and: the map is dark, as was mp_dam. If peeps don't like it, I'll make a brigher b2.

Please report bugs. I not in a clan and am therefore heavily dependent on your feedback.

Size some 7 MB, roughly.
